34 Things That Kill Progress

There are certain things that stem the tide of progress when it comes to work, sport, training, or pretty much anything as far as I can see. Off the top my head, I jotted these ones down. Let me know in the comments if you agree/ disagree, or have any additions!

Without dwelling on the negatives, I tried to list the most common things that I find bring a halt to my productivity, and here are the ones that I came up with;

1.Too much talking

2.Making excuses

3.Facebook

4.Lack of ambition

5.Unrealistic perception of what is required

6.Thinking you know better than your coach/ teacher

7.Pride

8.Loosing your mojo

9.Lack of faith

10.Your phone

11.Hanging out with the wrong people

12.Not reading

13.Box Sets

14.Not drinking adequate water

15.Shit food

16.Boredom

17.The News @ 6

18.Not exercising regularly

19.Not having a coach/ mentor

20.Having a poor coach/ mentor

21.Ego

22.Trying to do too much at once

23.Negative thinking

24.Mess

25.Not having a workspace

26.Too much time at workspace

27.Not enough sunlight

29.Doing it all yourself

30.Ipad in bed

31.Not taking a time out

33.Not taking personal responsibility

34.Feeling sorry for yourself

  1. – Not taking breaks / working too many hours without fresh air or in the same position or room
    – Forcing yourself to work when you know you should get time off (and then you feeling guilty for working or not working which doesnt help anyways)
    – When competition seem too good (low self esteem)
    – dramas (real life of facebook)
